A FEW WORDS ABOUT PRIVACY FROM MIKE
I've talked about our privacy policy and other policies in the past, but for the benefit of all members (especially the new guys) I'd like to re-state a few things:

Our mailing list is confidential and not for sale. We publish a directory of members (roughly twice a year) and each member chooses whether to be listed and what information he wants shown. Only those in the directory receive the directory. Many members are concerned about privacy, and we strive to honor their concerns. We don't give out phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. (If ya want a guy's number - ask him!)

Recently we started using Evite.com to notify members of events. When you get an Evite, click on the link and RSVP - even if you just put "undecided". It helps us to know that you're aware of the event. While guys who RSVP have the ability to e-mail other invitees thru Evite, we ask that you do not abuse this feature. (Evite also has a mass-mailing feature, which we disable in the interest of privacy.) We know some of you are tech-heads… please do not mess around with Evite. Anyone found spamming or otherwise annoying their fellow members via e-mail will be subject to dismissal from the group. (And while we're at it, please don't include any of us on any "joke" e-mail lists... God, are those things annoying.)

We encourage everyone to "step up to the plate" and organize events. Remember that we like to concentrate on "Guy Stuff" rather than "gay mainstream". All suggestions are welcome, even if they don't get used. If you want to organize an event, please call or e-mail Mike or Caesar in order to check the calendar and to get the publicity machine going. Glenn does our SF dinners; Tom M. and Mike L. our East Bay dinners, Jay, Louis C and Mark L handle hiking. Bill Starr is our cultural/arts czar, and Big Chris does the occasional Sports and Outdoors event. If you organize something, you'll be responsible for making the reservation if necessary, fielding calls and emails and getting us the info to put in the newsletter and/or Evite.

The group only works for those who participate. We want and need your feedback. What's working for you? What isn't? All praise, complaints and suggestions should be directed to
